CAMPS OF THE HOLY METROPOLIS OF CHALKIS

The Camps of the Holy Metropolis of Chalkis have been operating since 2000, on a coastal area of 45 acres, in the region  “Taxiarchis of Ilios” -between Rovies and Loutra Edipsou- in Northern Evia, which was donated to the Holy Metropolis by the Holy Monastery of Saint George of Ilios. 

To date, it has hosted more than 17,000 children from our Metropolitan region, children with special abilities, young people striving to overcome drug addiction, while a "milestone" in its operation was the hosting of the Orthodox Youth Festival, organized by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, which hosted 200 young people from all over the world.

In the planning of our Most Reverend Shepherd, Metropolitan of Chalkis Mr. Chrysostomos, is the operation of the Camp throughout the year and the hosting of Winter Gatherings, Conferences, etc.

The Camps provide our children and youth with quality entertainment, religious education, and patriotism, which are sought after by families and many institutions responsible for shaping our youth.
